Cyrus University Presents
Internationally acclaimed composer Davood A. Tabrizi will walk 300 kilometres from Parliament House, Canberra, to Sydney Olympic Park this October to raise $500,000 for the Cyrus the Great Human Rights Concert for Peace & Harmony.
The Concert is scheduled for 21 March 2026, coinciding with Persian New Year (Nowrooz) and Harmony Day, symbolising cultural renewal and global unity. At the heart of the concert will be a 150-piece orchestra blending Western musicians with ancient Persian instruments, creating a unique soundscape of peace and harmony.
Cyrus the Great, founder of the Persian Empire nearly 2500 years ago, is widely regarded as one of the first champions of human rights. His vision, reflected in the Cyrus Cylinder, continues to inspire ideals of freedom, justice, and respect for diversity.
As part of our community commitment, we will donate 5% of the funds raised for autistic children, and an additional 5% to support children with cancer, helping bring light and hope to young lives facing serious illness.
